About Erk

Erk (with Anastacia the Erk Pod Bunny) is the creator, producer & anchor of Erk Pod after commencing podcasting in May 2007 with “Erk Pod” and “Erk to the Diary Room”.

 

He is 34 years old and lives in western Sydney in Australia. In December 2007, Erk separated the “Erk Pod” and “Erk to the Diary Room” feeds.

 

In November 2007, he led the newly named “Erk Pod Podcasting Commando Team” into NaPodPoMo (National Podcasting Post Month) which included a daily show called “Echo Romeo Kilo One One” (ie this show).

 

Halfway during November, he decided to continue “Echo” as a weekly (or thereabouts) outdoor/mobile based show with “Erk Pod” continuing as a studio based show.

 

Outside of podcasting, Erk works as a passenger train driver in Sydney, having worked his way up the ranks from working on stations, being involved in railway security and law enforcement and then into train crewing. In his spare time he volunteers for the NSW Rural Fire Service as a Communications Centre Supervisor (or what would probably be a Fire Dispatch Supervisor in the US). He is also a volunteer official in motorsport, primarily in rally.
